Latham & Watkins, a leading international law firm, is seeking a 4th or 5th-year associate lawyer to join our team specializing in Copyright and Digital Law litigation. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree specializing in copyright and digital law, be an expert in European law, and be bilingual in French and English. The candidate will join the team to work on innovative and technical issues at the intersection of copyright, the internet, and technology (including artificial intelligence) in both litigation and advisory roles, and will also contribute to the development of public policy strategies and documents directed towards France and European institutions.

Responsibilities

•  Assist our clients in complex cases related to copyright, media law, and digital technologies.
•  Manage and monitor cases, draft pleadings, and participate in hearings.
•  Participate in the drafting and revision of memorandums and consultations.
•  Collaborate with international teams to provide innovative legal advice tailored to client needs.
•  Contribute to legal monitoring and the development of new strategies for our clients.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree specializing in copyright and digital law.
• Expertise in primary European law and EU copyright law.
• 4 to 5 years of professional experience in an international law firm.
• Perfect command of French and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for legal technicalities.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous litigation experience is desirable.

Latham & Watkins, cabinet d'avocats international de premier plan, recherche un avocat collaborateur en 4ème ou 5ème année pour rejoindre notre équipe spécialisée en contentieux du Droit d'Auteur et du Numérique. Le/la candidat(e) idéal(e) sera titulaire d'un Master spécialisé en droit d'auteur et du numérique, expert en droit Européen et devra être bilingue en anglais. Le/la candidat(e) rejoindra l’équipe afin de travailler sur des sujets novateurs et techniques à l’intersection du droit d’auteur, de l’internet et des technologies (notamment intelligence artificielle) en contentieux et en conseil, et apportera également son concours à l’élaboration de stratégies et documents de politique publique dirigé vers la France et les institutions européennes.

Responsabilités

• Assister nos clients dans des dossiers complexes liés au droit d'auteur au droit des médias et aux technologies numériques.

Gestion et suivi des dossiers

Rédaction de conclusions, participation aux audiences,

• Participer à la rédaction et à la révision de mémorandums et consultations.
• Collaborer avec des équipes internationales pour fournir des conseils juridiques innovants et adaptés aux besoins des clients.
• Contribuer à la veille juridique et au développement de nouvelles stratégies pour nos clients.

Qualifications requises

• Master II spécialisé en droit d'auteur et du numérique
• Expertise en droit Européen primaire et droit EU du droit d’auteur
• Expérience professionnelle de 4 à 5 ans dans un cabinet d'avocats international.
• Maîtrise parfaite du français et de l'anglais, tant à l'écrit qu'à l'oral.

Grande rigueur et goût pour la technique juridique

• Excellentes compétences en communication et en rédaction.
• Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et en équipe.
• Expérience préalable en contentieux désirable
